« Michel F Côté's Bruire group gave a truly off-the-wall performance combining the leader's own percussive off-roading with Claude Fradette's minimalist guitar work, Serge Boisvert's trumpet, Martin Tétreault's in-the-know tracking on turntables and the inimitable Jean Derome's own table full of strangely blown surprises. The performance swung on an odd but undeniably cool new meter that evoked the sense of it being the soundtrack to a movie the entire audience would line up to see and bring friends to. »
